The Fullness of Summer: Resting, Ripening and Reconnecting
A nourishing retreat day for mindfulness teachers and practitioners
Saturday 1 August 2026 | Terapia, Finchley, North London
We have enjoyed some beautiful summer retreats at Terapia, and I’m delighted that we’ll be returning in 2026.
This year’s retreat takes its inspiration from the fullness of summer, a season of warmth, abundance and quiet ripening. It offers an invitation to step away from the responsibilities of teaching and everyday life, reconnect with yourself and others, and simply receive the day.
Whether you are newly qualified or have been practising or teaching mindfulness for many years, there will be nothing to teach, demonstrate or achieve. This is a day for resting, restoring and allowing whatever may be quietly ripening within you to unfold in its own time.
Our venue is the delightful Terapia Centre at Stephens House and Gardens in Finchley, North London. Surrounded by spacious gardens, parks and woodland, it gives us a wonderful opportunity to practise both indoors and in nature.
The day will include:
- A gentle Crossing the Threshold practice to help us arrive
- Two linked guided meditations created especially for the retreat
- Mindful movement and deep relaxation
- A sensory walk through the gardens
- An invitation to find a fallen leaf, stone or other natural object and contribute it to our shared Fullness of Summer collage
- A picnic lunch and relaxed conversation with other mindfulness teachers and practitioners
- Woodland wandering, weather permitting
- Precious periods of stillness, silence and optional deep listening
- Unlimited refreshments throughout the day
Please bring a picnic lunch, a yoga or exercise mat, comfortable walking shoes and suitable layers for spending time outdoors.
The plans and timings will remain flexible so that we can respond to the weather, the surroundings and the needs of the group.
Places are limited for this special day, so early booking is recommended. Information about travel, parking and local accommodation will be available to download after you book.
It promises to be a deeply relaxing and nourishing day of mindfulness, nature and connection.
I hope you can join us.
Tony 🙂
