Group Supervision

Group supervision can be a powerful and rewarding experience. You get to bring any questions, issues or challenges you are experiencing and receive support and insights from your supervisor(s) and other participants. Group supervision is great value as you get a lot more time than you do for one-to-one. Of course, you do have to share that time with others, but that’s part of the enjoyment.

You can book Group Supervision by purchasing the product directly on this page, selecting your preferred date(s).

All sessions are scheduled for 2.5 hours.

One-to-One Supervision

There are many reasons why you might prefer to book a private 1-2-1 supervision session. Some of these include:

  • Topping up your group supervision sessions
  • A very challenging issue arises between group sessions
  • You want dedicated time for your issues/challenges
  • The issue is particularly sensitive or affecting you and you’d rather not disclose this to others

You can book a private 1-2-1 supervision session with Tony using the link below.

The fee is £40 for a session of between 30 and 45 mins.

CPD Days and Retreats

Tony offers a number of Continuing Professional Development and Retreat days each year. These are always very enjoyable days, filled with deep learning, laughter and the making and remaking of connections with friends old and new.

Upcoming CPD and Retreat days are listed below and can be booked directly from this page.

If you are a Mindfulness Now graduate, you will also receive the Breathing Space journal, which includes CPD opportunities from Tony and other tutors.

Coaching

If you are thinking about specific changes to your business or you are finding yourself stuck and want to develop new ideas and approaches, a short period of professional coaching may be beneficial.

Tony is a qualified management coach and has many years of experience as a career and life coach.

Resources

Tony has produced two very useful resources, suitable for both new and more established mindfulness teachers.

The ‘Mindfulness Course Workbook and Journal‘ is a 30-page workbook for teachers to give to participants joining their course, providing a single resource that covers all handouts, worksheets and space for reflection and journaling.

The ‘Nine Attitudes Ninetten Classes‘ resource is a huge 50+ page collection containing a wealth of practical and creative ideas in an easy-to-use format for teaching and practicing the mindfulness atttiudes.

Further resources are being considered. If you have a suggestion for something that Tony could develop to help you, please contact us.

To maintain your listing in the Mindfulness Teachers Register and to continue to use the Mindfulness Now brand, you are required to participate in at least 3 days (21 hours) of supervised CPD each year, of which 1 day should be a retreat and at least 1 day should be provided by a tutor of Central England College.

You are also required to have individual or group supervision that is proportionate to your teaching practice. The average amount of supervision undertaken is 4 sessions per year.

Testimonials

"A well planned out course and great resources. The day was great as an inspiring introduction with pointers on how to extend your study further. It could easily have been a 3-day course this is such a rich subject. It inspired me!"
Jen
"Thank you so much for the retreat day yesterday. I enjoyed it immensely. My only regret is that it passed too quickly...but that is surely a marker of time well spent. I very much welcomed the opportunity to connect in person (as well as online) and it was particularly valuable to meet some of the attendees from our July cohort. Looking forward already to our next meet up, wherever or however that may be."
Emma
"Tony made the day a wonderful learning experience. There was very useful and informative information given out on the day itself, but also before-hand in the excellent hand-outs that were supplied. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Tony’s experiences of Plum Village and I found that the practice element of the day was just what I needed. Thank you Tony, very well done."

Frequently Asked Questions

The CPD requirement for retaining your listing in the Mindfulness Teachers Register and continuing to use the Mindfulness Now brand is 3 days or 21 hours of supervised attendance.

One day should be a retreat and at least one day should be training with Mindfulness Now / Central England College.

No, reading does not count towards your CPD requirement, although we do of course strongly encourage it.

It depends on the particular retreat. If it is a learning experience that will benefit your students and participants, then you can count it.

CPD delivered by Tony and other tutors and associates of Mindfulness Now is recognised by the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation. It will also be recognised by many other professional bodies.

This depends on the specific event. Some events include a manual or other information, which we will normally send you electronically in advance. Some materials may be sent after the event. Once you have accessed or received the material you are deemed to have participated and no refund is allowed under any circumstances.

Yes, you will receive a personalised certificate which will confirm your participation and show the number of days/hours.

It depends on the type of CPD day that is running. Typically you could expect between 12 and 24 people.

Unfortunately, we can only reserve a place for you on receipt of your full payment.

We don’t currently offer an instalment plan for CPD or Supervision.

If you are unable to attend a CPD day you have booked for any reason, we would ask you to give us as much notice as you can and at least one month. We do not normally offer a refund other than in exceptional personal circumstances and only where we can fill your place. In such cases, we may charge you an administration fee of £25 and pass on any other costs we have incurred. Any refund we agree is normally paid within 4 weeks of the CPD date. Please note that if we change the mode of attendance, for example from face-to-face to online, this is considered a valid alternative provision and does not automatically entitle you to a cancellation refund.

If you are booking 1-2-1 supervision or coaching, different terms apply and these will be shown to you during the booking process.

All dates are published as products on this page. You can book dates directly on this page.

This depends on the number of tutors in attendance. Normally we would have a maximum of 16 participants but we may allow more if we have enough tutors to ensure everyone receives adequate time and support.

The main advantages of group supervision are that you will receive support and guidance from many people and the cost is lower than 1-2-1 supervision.

The main advantages of 1-2-1 supervision are that you will have dedicated time to discuss and obtain guidance for your issues, challenges and questions. You don’t have to share the time with anyone else and it can be valuable therefore if you have a particular challenge.

We are here to support you. If you have any query please contact us.
