What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness teaches techniques that enable you to be fully aware in the present moment, shifting your wandering mind away from dwelling in the past and from anxiety about the future. Through increasing your awareness, you can learn to observe your feelings and emotions objectively and without judgment towards yourself or others, and change the way you think about and respond to events in your life.

Join the Mindfulness Foundation class to understand what mindfulness is, where it comes from, its effectiveness for a wide range of emotional and physical conditions and to experience it directly through practice led by an experienced teacher.

Mindful Movement & Attitudes Class

Price: £10 (buy any 3 classes and get a fourth class free)

Time: 1.5 hours

Maximum: 16 participants

This is a unique class developed by Tony O’Shea-Poon for Mindful Me. Each class involves gentle movement and focuses on one of the 9 Attitudes of Mindfulness – non-judging, beginners mind, acceptance, non-striving, patience, trust, letting go, gratitude or generosity. Each class helps you to develop a deeper, experiential understanding of one significant aspect of mindfulness, in addition to helping you feel deeply relaxed and grounded.

Mindful Course

Mindfulness Now Course

Price: £175 (an Early Bird discount price may be available)

Time: 12 hours (over 4 or 8 weeks)

Maximum: 8 participants

The Mindfulness Now course provides training in all major aspects of mindfulness practice. It was developed by the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation and incorporates aspects of the nationally-recognised Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course and the Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy course. It also includes some unique original content that is not found in other mindfulness programmes, including a short retreat-style experience in the final class. Mindfulness Now is accredited by the British Psychological Society.

Wellbeing at Work

No matter what your company does and no matter how big or small you are, Mindful Me has a service that can support you in promoting wellbeing at work. We’re skilled in facilitating groups of all sizes and have experience of working at Board level as well as shop/factory floors. We have a network of mindfulness teachers covering most parts of the UK and we’ve also teamed up with the experts at Wellbeing Worx to offer workplace at-desk massage, nutritional therapy, yoga and other therapies. So, whatever you have in mind, we can offer you a full workplace wellbeing programme.

If you’re attending a course, the teacher may direct you to specific resources.

If you’ve completed a course, you’ll be given access to additional Resources for Graduates, which includes original material created by the teacher.
