Price range: £0.00 through £950.00
Develop your own mindfulness practice, gain a professionally recognised qualification, and inspire others to live with greater awareness, resilience and compassion.
Begin Your Journey as a Mindfulness Teacher
Mindfulness has the power to change lives, not only the lives of the people you teach, but your own too.
Whether you’re looking to begin a new career, enrich your existing professional practice or deepen your own mindfulness journey, the Mindfulness Now Teacher Training Programme offers a practical, evidence-informed pathway to becoming a skilled, confident and accredited mindfulness teacher.
Approved by the British Psychological Society (BPS), the programme integrates the strengths of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), equipping you with the knowledge, confidence and practical teaching skills to deliver mindfulness safely, ethically and effectively in a wide range of settings.
More than a professional qualification, this training is an invitation to cultivate the qualities that underpin excellent mindfulness teaching: presence, curiosity, compassion, authenticity and reflective practice. As your own mindfulness deepens, so too does your capacity to support others.
“One of the most positive training experiences I have had. The course was thoughtful, developmental and genuinely aligned with the values of mindfulness.”
Why Choose the Mindfulness Now Teacher Training Programme?
Professionally Recognised
Train on a programme approved by the British Psychological Society (BPS), combining established mindfulness approaches with high professional standards and a strong emphasis on safe, ethical teaching.
Practical and Experiential
Mindfulness cannot be learned from books alone. Throughout the course you’ll participate in guided practices, reflective enquiry, teaching exercises and experiential learning, enabling you to develop both your own practice and the confidence to teach others.
Integrating the Best of MBSR and MBCT
Develop a broad and flexible understanding of mindfulness by learning an approach that thoughtfully combines the strengths of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), preparing you to teach across a wide range of settings.
Learn from Experienced Practitioners
Your London training is led by Tony O’Shea-Poon, an experienced mindfulness teacher, therapist, tutor and supervisor, and a member of the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation training team. Alongside delivering the core programme, Tony continues to provide CPD, advanced training and professional supervision, supporting many graduates long after qualification.
More Than a Qualification
We believe the most effective mindfulness teachers are those who continue to cultivate their own practice. Throughout the programme you’ll therefore be encouraged to develop not only your teaching skills, but also the qualities that enable authentic, compassionate and embodied teaching.
“The learning wasn’t just about mindfulness itself—I learned a great deal about myself too. Although that wasn’t always comfortable, it was incredibly valuable.”
Why Join Our November 2026 Programme?
As autumn gives way to winter, many people naturally find themselves becoming more reflective, making November an ideal time to deepen their mindfulness practice and begin the journey towards becoming a mindfulness teacher. The quieter rhythm of late autumn often creates the space to pause, learn and develop new skills with intention, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in both the personal and professional aspects of the programme.
Beginning your training in November enables you to build strong foundations in mindfulness practice and teaching over the winter months, qualifying in time to begin offering courses, workshops or one-to-one sessions during the spring or early summer of the following year. As your confidence and understanding grow throughout the programme, you’ll be well placed to start sharing mindfulness with others with confidence, authenticity and compassion, grounded in your own lived experience of mindfulness practice.
Why Train in London?
One of the greatest strengths of training in London is the diversity of the people you’ll meet. Each cohort brings together participants from different cultures, professions, identities and life experiences, creating conversations and shared learning that simply couldn’t be replicated in a more homogeneous group.
Participants may include healthcare professionals, therapists, counsellors, coaches, teachers, charity workers, business leaders, creatives and people embarking on an entirely new career. Learning alongside people with different perspectives helps deepen your understanding of mindfulness while preparing you to teach with greater confidence, sensitivity and inclusivity.
Training takes place at the beautiful Jacksons Lane Arts Centre in Highgate, North London, directly opposite Highgate Underground Station. The spacious studios provide an ideal environment for learning, while nearby Highgate Wood offers opportunities to experience mindful walking and mindfulness in nature throughout the programme.
“As well as being an excellent learning environment, it was also a wonderful opportunity to deepen my own mindfulness practice while meeting some lovely, interesting people from a wide range of backgrounds.”
Support Beyond Qualification
For us, qualifying as a mindfulness teacher is not the end of your journey—it’s the beginning.
Many teacher training programmes conclude once you’ve received your certificate. Our commitment is to continue supporting your development as you gain experience and confidence as a mindfulness teacher.
Graduates are invited to continue their professional development through CPD events, specialist workshops, supervision and advanced training. Whether you’re preparing to teach your very first mindfulness course or developing an established practice, you’ll continue to have access to experienced guidance and a supportive professional community.
“I’ve now completed three courses with Tony, covering mindfulness and hypnotherapy, and each one has been just as enjoyable and enriching as the last.”
Your Journey Starts Here
Our graduates go on to teach mindfulness in healthcare, education, charities, workplaces, private practice and community settings, while many therapists, counsellors and coaches integrate mindfulness into their existing work.
Whatever your background, if you’re ready to deepen your own mindfulness practice while developing the confidence, knowledge and professional skills to teach others, we’d be delighted to welcome you to our April 2027 London programme.
“As well as learning a valuable lifelong skill, it felt like giving myself a week of gifts through the mindfulness practices. I’d highly recommend the Mindfulness Now programme to anyone wishing to deepen their own mindfulness practice or to teach mindfulness in a responsible, evidence-based way.”
