1 hour

A taster class is the perfect way to give mindfulness a try at your school.

The facilitator will lead a number of different mindfulness practices and will explain the background to mindfulness and the benefits of learning it.

Participants are encouraged to reflect on their experience and there is time allowed for questions and to find out ways to learn more.

1 hour

If you want one-off support to help reduce anxiety or tension, to help your staff team manage stress or increase personal resilience, this is an ideal class.

The class consists of a mix of mindfulness meditation, mindful movement and breathing techniques that allow the mind to become calm and the muscles of the body to relax fully.

No prior knowledge of mindfulness or meditation is assumed.

1 hour

This class uses the body as a gateway to mindfulness and consists of very gentle stretching and slow movements performed in both standing and sitting positions.

No knowledge of mindfulness or yoga is required, no yoga mats are used and participants work within the constraints of their own physical ability.

Through movement and breath awareness, participants become more grounded and calmer.

This course is Part 1 of the two-part mindfulness training specifically tailored to teachers in Schools and Colleges. Part 1 focuses on learning and practicing personal mindfulness, before teachers can go on to learn effective ways to transmit the practice to their pupils and the wider School or College community.

This course can be delivered either as 4 sessions of 2 hours or 2 sessions of 4 hours.

It's a great choice if you want to invest in your teachers to develop their personal presence, awareness and resilience and for those who will go on to support the School or College to develop a mindful culture.

The course is partly based on the highly effective Wake Up Schools syllabus and includes:

  • Waking up from automatic pilot and learning to be present
  • Using the breath to anchor us to a calm, patient and peaceful state
  • Re-connecting to our bodies to manage stress, physical or emotional pain
  • Understanding our emotions and habit patterns and learning to respond rather than react
  • Awareness of false thinking and creating helpful thinking
  • Generating feelings of gratitude, generosity and compassion, for ourselves and others
  • Exploring our ethics and how we choose to live
  • Resources and community that can support us in our practice

This course can be delivered either as 4 sessions of 2 hours or 2 sessions of 4 hours.

This course is specifically aimed at teachers who have already undertaken the Mindfulness for Teachers Course, or a similar course of learning personal mindfulness practice.

The course is partly based on the highly effective Wake Up Schools syllabus and includes:

  • Practice in leading introductory mindfulness meditation and discussion
  • Helping pupils to manage difficult thoughts and emotions
  • Using mindfulness approaches to resolve conflict
  • Developing age-appropriate mindfulness curriculum for your School or College
  • Working with pupils to generate feelings of gratitude, generosity and compassion, for themselves and others
  • Exploring ethics and values with pupils
  • Resources and community that can support you in transmitting the practice

Typically 5 x 1.5 hours

If you have a member of staff that requires 1-2-1 support because they’re having difficulties at work or in the classroom or because you want to help release their full potential, coaching may be right for them.

We have hundreds of hours of coaching experience and we combine mindfulness practice with OCM and International Coach Federation standards to support individuals to identify their objectives, work through difficulties and challenges and build confidence and greater contribution.

Normally we recommend 5 sessions for most people/issues. If you’re not sure if coaching is right for the person/situation, you can book at time to talk to us and we’ll help you assess its suitability.
